Continuum
began in 1988 with a first recording of Sorabji's First
Organ Symphony. The worldwide success of this first
release led to a succession of titles by such neglected
and important composers as Hans Gal, Franz Reizenstein,
Victor Babin, Maurice Emmanuel and Benjamin Dale. Living
composers Simon Bainbridge, Lyell Cresswell, Stephen
Montague, Edwin Carr, and Douglas Lilburn have seen
their music reach many corners of the globe.
Since
1993 Continuum has been based in New Zealand. With todays plethora of disposable new
releases it is refreshing to contemplate a range of
standard catalogue entries which sell consistently of
a period of years.
